This category indexes all articles of interest to the Hispano-Filipino community. Hispano-Filipinos are Filipinos of Spanish descent. They are names in Philippine society for them: mestizo, Filhispano, Kastila, Español. The preferred and polically-correct term that Wikipinas uses is Hispano-Filipino, to emphasize the primacy of their Filipino identity, in the same way that a Fil-Am (or Filipino American) emphasizes his or her American identity. This category showcases not only well-known people, places and businesses, but also more obscure ones worthy of remembrance and celebration, as well as other articles of interest that should be of interest to anyone interested in keeping alive this rich and history culture. The objective is to preserve and promote all traces of Spain in the Philippines.
