Indigenous beliefs are traditions, practices, rituals that are inherent to the natives of a particular area or location. Most of these beliefs are religious in origin and nature.

Even before the arrival of colonizers, the Philippines already has a rich set of beliefs: the natives of the lands expresses their faith through nature worship and the likes; they live life as according to thoughts and concepts passed on to them from many generations; they practice intrinsic rituals.; and believes to higher beings and other creatures they believe co-exist with them.
